"eSeva" is the translation of the Andhra Pradesh Government's vision to deliver multiple citizen services from a single counter. This service is part of the government's egovernance initiatives.

The paradigm shift in the delivery of citizen services by Government through eSeva – enhances accessibility, convenience and speed. eSeva is serving over a million customers across the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The truly on-line, 3-tier architecture-based solution developed by RAM Informatics has achieved remarkable performance levels in a very short time since its launch. The pleasant ambience of the e-seva centres and the efficient counter service have resulted in consumer delight.

The application software deployed is user-friendly, robust, scalable and secure. The design and development methodology followed during the process facilitated speedy implementation of the system within a short span of time.

Continuous technology upgradation and feature improvements are in progress, making the eSeva more accessible to the citizens with a number of services being added. The solution, with very little customisation, can be deployed on any environment.

The present eSeva application is deployed on JSP and Servlets with Oracle as back-end engine and Oracle 9iAS as middleware. The browser based client connects to the web server through the secure intranet of the eSeva and after authentication checks, the transaction is allowed on the departmental database. Once the transaction is completed, the systems allow for printing of the receipt at the counter. The whole process of bill presentment and payment takes a few seconds. For the busy citizen internet payment has become a boon, as he can pay his bills from any where any time through the net.
